Marketing 101

My husband walks through a mall to catch the subway to work and yesterday he paused to take a photograph for me:

I feel like plastering current obesity and heart disease statistics all over this sign....

(Oh, and these are no ordinary pretzels. Most of them are covered in butter and cinnamon sugar, gooey pizza toppings, etc.)

Honestly, that sign makes me sick - 'Yeah we dont really care how fat and unhealthy you get - just eat our stuff alright!'. How blatantly disrespectful and morally corupt of the company. I am glad you posted that!

Totally! While at Costco today I got a little depressed. Food kiosks with "free" samples. Though I appreciated the POM juice, everyone was hudding around the cheese burger and velveeta nachos tables. I wanted to say, "that cheeseburger's free now, but it's going to cost you a lot in hospital bills later." Meanwhile, thanks for letting me stalk your blog. I really enjoy it.

Yeah, Costco food scares me. I'm talking about the ready-to-eat stuff that you can buy. Everything there is supersized and grosses me out! Also I noticed recently that a fastfood joint trying to promote their lower Kcal items by saying "All under 500 Kcal!" It made me laugh. That's high! LOL
